Head of Unit Interinstitutional relations and Internal Coordination, DG R&I, European Commission

Rosalinde van der Vlies was previously Head of the Evaluation and Impact Assessment Unit in DG Research and Innovation at the European Commission. Prior to that she was deputy head of cabinet with Environment Commissioner Potocnik. She holds a Dutch law degree (University of Rotterdam) and has a postgraduate degree in European Law (College of Europe, Bruges). After several years of practising as a competition lawyer at the Brussels’s bar she joined the European Commission in 2002 and has worked in the areas of environment, gender equality and anti-discrimination before taking her current position.
