Pierre-Henri Bigeard is an engineer who graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie in Lille. He joined IFPEN in 1981 as a research engineer in the Research and Development Division. He became Project Manager in 1989 and then Head of the Pilot Units Department in 1992. In 1995, Pierre-Henri Bigeard was appointed Director of the Development Division. In 2000, he became Head of the Rueil-Solaize Transfer project. In 2004, he was appointed Special Assistant within General Management. In 2005, Pierre-Henri Bigeard became Director of the IFPEN Lyon site. Since 2013, he had been Executive Vice-President responsible for Scientific and Technological Research. He is Executive Vice-President responsible for Research and Innovation since 2013.
Pierre-Henri Bigeard was Chairman of the Axelera competitiveness cluster from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, he was also President of the Axel’One collaborative innovation platform dedicated to chemistry and the environment.
